Laina Tullaugak
Laina Tullaugak was born in the remote village of Povurgnituk in Northern Québec in 1961 but now resides in Montreal.When I was a little girl Iremember my father and mother used to encourage their children to be musicaly oriented. My father used to buy us musical instruments and my mother taught me how to throat sing. Ever since then, I have performed in various festivities in the north, Europe, & Québec with Martha Sivuarapik, plus traditional Throat Singing performances in Montreal with my mother. I would't be where I am now if it wasn't for God, my parents, and every one else that has encouraged and believed in me.
